Mutual of Omaha Mortgage is searching for a DPA Mortgage Closer to join our team!
Key Responsibilities
Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and investor requirements.
Prepare and deliver closing packages, ensuring all documents are accurate and executed on time.
Coordinate closing activities with loan officers, processors, title companies, and borrowers.
Verify that Down Payment Assistance (DPA) program requirements are correctly applied, and documented.
Resolve closing-related issues quickly and professionally to avoid delays.
Ensure compliance with TRID, RESPA, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external partners throughout the closing process.
Balance files, confirm wire instructions, and ensure disbursements are accurate.
Efficient balancing both 1st and 2nd (s) CD or ALTA’s depending on state regulations.
Ability to properly edit docs pulled from state website’s., including understating of what documents are required.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of mortgage closing experience with strong knowledge of purchase, refinance, FHA, VA, and conventional loan products.
Required: Direct experience closing loans with STATE specific Down Payment Assistance (DPA) programs.
Strong understanding of TRID, RESPA, and compliance regulations .
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal staff, title companies, and borrowers.
