Position Overview 

Home Loan Express Mortgage is seeking a relationship-focused Junior Mortgage Loan Originator to support our growing partnership with William Ryan Homes throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market

This role is ideal for a licensed mortgage professional who is looking to break into the mortgage industry and looking to gain hands-on experience while working alongside an experienced Producing Branch Manager. The Junior MLO will serve as an important point of contact for homebuyers, builder sales teams, referral partners, and real estate professionals while learning all aspects of mortgage origination. 

This is a highly visible, field-oriented position. You will regularly attend builder sales meetings, community events, model home grand openings, open houses, and Realtor networking opportunities while helping create an exceptional customer experience for prospective homebuyers. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the Producing Branch Manager throughout the mortgage origination process. 
  • Build relationships with William Ryan Homes sales professionals and leadership teams. 
  • Attend builder sales meetings, community events, open houses, and other marketing activities. 
  • Engage prospective homebuyers and provide guidance regarding mortgage financing options. 
  • Follow up with leads and maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the loan process. 
  • Assist with collecting documentation and coordinating with processing and operations teams. 
  • Develop relationships with local Realtors and referral partners throughout the DFW market. 
  • Utilize phone, email, social media, and CRM tools to generate and nurture business opportunities. 
  • Deliver a best-in-class customer experience while representing both Home Loan Express Mortgage and William Ryan Homes. 

What We're Looking For 

  • Active mortgage loan originator license (NMLS) 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to build trust and establish relationships quickly 
  • Positive attitude, coachability, and desire to learn 
  • Sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, or relationship-management experience preferred 
  • Comfortable speaking with customers in person, by phone, and at community events 
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook

This role offers direct mentorship from an experienced Producing Branch Manager, ongoing sales and mortgage education, and a clear development path toward becoming a successful producing Loan Officer.

  • State/local minimum wage base hourly.
  • Vacation — Vacation hours accrue on a per pay period basis. Balance maximums are based on years of service.
