Senior Business Intelligence Consultant - Mortgage Sales

Compensation Range: $95,000 - $130,000
Location: US Based Remote

Strong knowledge/experience in mortgage sales is required. Candidates without a background working directly with mortgage sales data will not be considered.

The Mortgage Business Intelligence & Analytics team provides business leaders with the data and insights they need to understand performance, optimize operations, and drive growth.

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant  to lead our analytics and reporting efforts around mortgage sales and lead performance. This is a senior-level, individual contributor role responsible for designing, building, and interpreting reporting that helps our sales and marketing leaders understand where their opportunities lie, from lead acquisition through funded loan.

The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in autonomy, has strong business intuition for sales analytics, and can translate raw data into clear insights and actionable recommendations. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we measure and understand sales performance, and you’ll own the reporting landscape that drives decisions at all levels of the organization.

This will be a highly visible role which will be key in driving value for our primary organizational goals, with exposure to sales leaders across the company, and our CMO. Responsibilities will continue to expand, with opportunities to support analytics projects aligned with team and organizational goals.

Duties include:
Sales Reporting & Dashboard Development (50%)

  • Directly define and transform CRM data in SQL to normalize and architect a data structure prime for reporting
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards that measure sales and lead performance across channels and segments
  • Leverage strong design and storytelling principles to ensure dashboards are clear, impactful, and actionable
  • Integrate data across CRM systems, marketing platforms, and loan origination data to create a unified view of the sales funnel
  • Build semantic models and dynamic measures to support evolving sales metrics
Performance Analysis & Insights (20%)
  • Analyze lead and sales data to uncover trends, conversion patterns, and drivers of success
  • Develop statistical models to drive quantitative analysis of sales lead potential and performance
  • Provide proactive insights to sales and marketing leaders, highlighting key opportunities, risks, and performance outliers
  • Develop hypotheses about what’s influencing conversion and pipeline health, validating findings with data
  • Present findings through narrative storytelling and visualization, not just data points
Strategic Partnership & Independence (20%)
  • Serve as the primary analytics partner for sales and marketing leadership, owning requests end-to-end
  • Operate with minimal direction — from requirement gathering through delivery and communication of insights
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and propose new reporting or metrics before being asked
  • Provide strategic guidance on what should be measured and how, helping define KPIs that drive meaningful outcomes
Lead Intelligence & Modeling Support (10%)
  • Develop scoring algorithms which segment and grade sales leads
  • Support the evaluation of model results and their interpretation within Power BI reporting
  • Use analytical curiosity to explore lead quality metrics and performance indicators

Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in mortgage lending or financial services, with deep understanding of the sales funnel and lead management lifecycle
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytics, business intelligence, or data insights role
  • Proven success delivering actionable insights in a sales-focused environment, specifically within mortgage originations
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including semantic model design, DAX, Power Query, row-level security, and dashboard design best practices
  • Strong SQL skills for data mining, joining multivariate datasets, and performing validation checks
  • Ability to independently scope, design, and deliver analytic projects with minimal oversight
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to translate data into meaning for non-technical stakeholders
  • High business acumen and intuition for sales metrics, conversion funnels, and lead performance indicators

Additional Preferred Skills
  • Experience with data science or statistical techniques such as regression or correlation analysis
  • Advanced skills in Python or R, including use of libraries for statistical analysis, data cleaning, and machine learning
  • Understanding of CRM or lead management systems (Salesforce, Relcu, Total Expert, etc.)

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
